For toothaches from infected teeth try chewing sage. I am told all sage works, but I have used the mountain sage that grows here out west (I'm in Colorado). I have a decaying tooth that I haven't been able to afford fixing and at one point the toochache was 24/7 for several weeks when someone told me about the sage. Pull it fresh (rinse with water if you wish) and put it on the tooth and chew like tobacco. It will be bitter. Spit it out and put in another wad and chew. A couple of times and it will pull the infection out of the tooth. After I tried this the first time I didn't have another toothache in that tooth for 3 years! I've used this method again since then and it really does help stop the ache and infections.
